I am very excited to announce that my NEW ALBUM "CAT'S DREAM" has just been released by the Brooklyn Jazz Underground Records. It includes 8 original compositions of mine arranged for a sextet featuring some of the top New York musicians of the young generation: Lucas Pino, Glenn Zaleski, Rick Rosato, Colin Stranahan and Bogn Kicińska. The sextet has been a working band for the past 5 years. The album was recorded in New York by Michael Perez-Cisneros who is known for recording such albums as Kurt Rosenwinkel's Heartcore. The mix was done by Dave Darlington in New York at the Bass Hit Recording. Dave is known for mixing such famous albums as If on a Winter Night... by Sting, Alegria by Wayne Shorter (for which Dave received a Grammy award) or Gershwin's World by Herbie Hancock. For more information about the album go to the Brooklyn Jazz Underground Records website.
You can download the sheet music for all the songs from the new album for free in the SHEET MUSIC PDF section.
"Like Rosenwinkel, Sarnecki ventures far beyond the bebop and post-bop idioms of the past and into a freer - though still chordal - musical language. Sarnecki's original compositions merge the high-flown lyricism of Polish culture with an idiosyncratic, thoroughly disarming way of building long and winding musical phrases. He's clearly at the start of forming an improvisational syntax for himself, but it already shows originality and daring . . ."
